September 16:

1947: "I filled two very expensive prescriptions tonite; one amounted to $11.50, the other $19.  These are the highest prices I've had to get for Rx's in my 32 years in the drug business." [from A.E. Potter's diaries]
1953: We all are busy at home getting ready for "Mother's Linen Shower" for Marion Weisheipl tonite.  And twenty seven ladies attend...Bob Leichtfuss comes at about 1:15 to haul away the plunder.  Tres is very tired and glad the party is over.  We get to bed at 1:30 AM." [from A.E. Potter's diaries]
