November 30

1933: "Thanksgiving Day turns out to be a very nice mild day. Male choir sings at 8 o'clock Mass, this is new to us.  We have much to be thankful for.  Worked a short time, took a drive to the cottage in the afternoon, then to the Oshkosh Theatre.  Ed Brendel is there in Ole's Big Moment then for supper and out to Sacred Heart Bazaar.  I won a chicken." [from A. E. Potter's diaries]
1954: "British Prime Minister Winston Churchill is 80 today.  Bishop John Grellinger celebrates his Silver Jubilee in the priesthood with a Pontifical High Mass at St. Mary's." [from A. E. Potter's diaries]
