1937: "First Friday to seven o'clock church services at St. Vincent's.  Ed Fretschel gets a wonderful parcel post package.  A present for him turned out to be a badly shot to pieces pheasant and a dead cat.  And he sure gets the razz-berries from the store crew." [from A. E. Potter's diaries]
