1936: "We drive to Milwaukee today with Mr. and Mrs. F.W. Mueller. Attended the Drug Show and Banquet at the Schroeder Hotel. After the banquet we took a walk and when we came back, played 500 rummy until 2:30 A.M." [from A. E. Potter's diairies]
1942: "Thres and myself take a drive to Ripon this evening to the Kiwanis District Song Fest. A nice dinner preceded the singing. Bald heads were covered with Ripon Kiwanis caps, mine included. Our table Mr. Mrs. Leighton Hough, Mr. Mrs. Frank Thew, Mr. Mrs. Kurt Drake, Thres and self. Our club won the loving cup for singing." [from A. E. Potter's diairies]
