February 18

1941: "Donald (son) takes part in the first aquacade in Oshkosh, which is held in the new swimming pool of the South Side Junior Hi School and it's a cold night , when he comes home is it 10° below zero." [from A. E. Potter's diaries]
1953: "Dropped in to visit with Uncle Joe Weisheipl this morning. He is improving fairly well now. Ray Simpson gives him treatments every Wednesday and tells him he is able to help him. Also saw Joe Drexler to see if we could stall the Pension Dept. for a month in Aunt Mary's case. Thres and I attend stations tonite - Father Milbauer. After services Donald (son) and family are over to visit with us. Debbie (granddaughter) is very good at assembling puzzles. The folks stay until 11:45." [from A. E. Potter's diaries]
