February 25

1935: "It is still snowing and blowing. All Hiways are blocked. Railroad trains are all the way from 5 to 12 hours late. We can not use our motorcycle for deliveries and I use my car making about 65 miles around town. Mrs. Hermina Andrashko passed away this morning at Sunnyview San. Born Sept. 27, 1873 in Austria. Cousin to Mrs. Potter." [from A. E. Potter's diaries]
1940: "Forester Easter Communion at St. John's Paid pew rent for Ed Baranowski - 24 dollars. Temperature is about 10° below zero this morning. Worked about 6½ hours today. This is less than most Sundays. Attended the Mode Theatre after work. Picture shown is San Francisco." [from A. E. Potter's diaries]
1956: "Debbie and Donnie (grandchildren) are over as usual in the morning. Debbie informs me that when she gets big she is going to be a "cook" and a "mother." I worked from 11:45 to 6:15 today - 6½ hours. Matt Drexler is in my office for a visit. He is also soliciting ads for the "Golden Jubilee Program of Sacred Heart Congregation." Jerome Gabert and Steve Kircher are also in for 4th Degree Ladies prizes." [from A. E. Potter's diaries]
