February 23

1952: "I'm in the delivery business today. Took Walter Seelmacher to work at the Boston Store, delivered mail to the stores, delivered three dozen eggs and coffee cake to Donald (son), rye bread and coffee cake to the Weisheipls, Joe is resting when I get there, delivered rye bread to Cliff Kloeckners for K.C. party tonight. Picked up Joan Mauritz and took her and Mary Ann  (daughter) over town, picked them up again at 11:30 also Doris Heisler and took them home." [from A. E. Potter's diaries]
1955: "Aunt Mary is laid to rest this morning, 10 o'clock High Mass by Father Milbauer. It's a clear cold day. Margaret Radomski came in at 6:30 from Milwaukee. Service well attended by many old timers. Had the folks over for dinner about 25. Pallbearers Joe and Matt Drexler, Frank Drexler, Joe Baier, Eddie Weisheipl, and our Donald. Five Sisters from Mercy Hospital attended. Anna Ostertag took care of the meal. Della Jackish made Jello." [from A. E. Potter's diaries]
