February 20

1850: Grandma Baier is born.  She is Theresa Ann Drexler Potter's grandmother and mother of Mary  Baier Drexler.
1941: "Grandma Baier is 92 years of age today, but she must spend the day in bed. Dropped in to see her and wish her a happy birthday. Roma Bauman made up a nice German poem in her honor. Temperature is still below zero this morning, about 5°. Anna Weisheipl is surprised by the ladies of Sacred Heart kitchen workers this afternoon. About 50 are present says she, but a recount produced only 17. Well, 17 can make plenty of noise." [from A. E. Potter's diaries]
1952: "Dollar Day in Oshkosh is greeted with more snow and is also held over for tomorrow. It's snowing all day, hope it's nice tomorrow. Had Otto and Emma Lemke over tonite for tournament sheephead. Otto and Emma are way ahead of us on scores Otto 62, Emma 52, Thres 37, I had 43 points." [from A. E. Potter's diaries]
