July 23

1939: "Attended six o'clock mass as usual, then to work. St. Vincent's Church picnic at South Park today. Mama Potter is kept pretty busy. Had a meeting at our house of Mr./Mrs. Sutter, Joe Jungen, Charles Nolan, and myself. Trying to get the tangle in Mrs. Jungen's estate cleared up." [from A. E. Potter's diaries]
1948: "Brought Mary Ann to school at 8:30. This is her last day, also Donald's at summer school. Picked up some peas to be prepared for our freezer at Otto Christianson Hi-K Zion. Had Thres, Mary Ann, and Emma with me. Had a very nice Pike and Scallop dinner while we were there. Mary Ann and self visited Ray and Ann Ostertag tonite. The baby is growing fast and when we get home the peas are all ready for the freezer." [from A. E. Potter's diaries]
1955: "Art Mueller and Fred Baumgartner are back from their vacation. They visited many places of interest especially around Washington. Don and family are at the cottage with mother. Don burns up a lot of hay and rubbish. I worked on his orders and hope to have them out for him by tomorrow. Konrad Funeral Home marks 80 years in business in Oshkosh. William Konrad founded a furniture and embalming business in May 1875. Moved to 103 Waugoo in 1929." [from A. E. Potter's diaries]
1986: Stephanie Aaronson, daughter of Sue (nee Potter) and Mike Aaronson, granddaughter of Don and Arlene Potter, great-granddaughter of A.E. and Theresa Potter, is born.
