1911: A. E. Potter and Theresa Drexler wed and begin the Potter clan in Oshkosh.
1941: "Thirty years ago, a young man 20 years of age was married at St. Vincent's Church by Father Adolph Wibbert to Theresa Drexler. Theresa was a dressmaker and the young man which happened to be myself was an assistant pharmacist working for F.W. Mueller. How the time does fly. A small surprise party at the cottage tonite by Bill and Emma Siewert - Ed and Thres Fretschl - Joe and Anna Weisheipl. the party went fine until 1 A.M. when Joe Weisheipl suddenly left for home without Annie. 1946: "Today marks our 35th wedding anniversary. Had Joe - Annie Weisheipl, Ed-Thres Fretschl, Bill-Emma Siewert, Aunt Lena Baier with us at the cottage. It is a lovely day. Joe Jr., Cork Weisheipl, Frank Kimball also spend the day with us; they do some fishing with Donald, got a few perch. They played cribbage and the Hungarian Goulash made by Ma Potter was very good. The Heips and Fretschls left after midnight; the Siewerts staid. Played cards to 2:30 A.M. Had quite a storm about 1 A.M. Lawrence Kinateder is 18 today." [from A. E. Potter's diaries]
1954: "Well it's 43 years since 'Ma' and 'Me' said 'I do.' It was a beautiful day and a full moon night, danced until 6:30 in the morning. Uncle Joe - Uncle Johnnie played. I gave away 13 ponies of beer. To 7:30 Hi Mass with Holy Name, Father Milbauer, then to work. Treated Ma and Mary Ann to dinner at Faust's Supper Club. I asked Ray his age; he says 'Today is my birthday. I'm 48.' He was 5 years old when Thres and I were married. I worked also this evening. Don's family are over for T.V." [from A. E.
