02.  Thursday: Joe and Annie Weisheipl are visiting with the Frank Weisheipls at Cornell.

04.  Saturday: Took Thres and Mary Ann to the Oshkosh to see Variety Girl, features about 25 of the leading movie stars including Bing Crosby – Bob Hope – Cary Cooper –Ray Milland – Alan Ladd – Barbara Stanwyck –Dorothy Lamour – Paulette Goddard –Sonny Tufts – Joan Caulfield – Wm Bendix and many others. The Co – hit is “Violence” with Michael O’Shea and Nancy Coleman.
05.  Sunday: To 730 Hi Mass St. Vincents then to work.  Took Harry Lyman out for ride this afternoon.  T’is a lovely day, temperature close to 80°.  Harry wished he did’nt have to go back to the County Home.  After that to the cemetery and an early supper and then to Berlin to visit the Kujawas.  Took Aunt Mary with us.  Took a drive to Belle Air at Green Lake with Harry and Agnes.  Backed by 10 P.M. at Berlin.  An evening pleasantly spent.  Home at 1145.  Mary is still hungry.

07.  Tuesday: [R 1 X 10 K] Dr. Norman Kleinschmidt pulls one of my molars this morning.  It was loose and I expected to get off easy, but got a surprise when the doc removed it.  It bled profusely.  Had noon day meal at home, and attended Kiwanis meeting also.
08.  Wednesday: [R 3 X 10 K    R 2 M 1] Attended the Mode tonite.  “Two Years before the Mast” features Alan Ladd with Esther Fernandes “Bedlam” stars Boris Karloff – Anna Lee.

10.  Friday: [R 3 X 10 K] Rose Weisheipl has a birthday, she has completed 36 years and is looking fine, a little heavier than a year ago.

12.  Sunday: To 730 Holy Name Mass.  Rev.  Alphonse Wagner offers It.  Then to work.  Worked also this afternoon, put in 6 ½ hours.  This evening attended K C Banquet at Legion Memorial.  About 275 present.  A sumptuous meal and a fine program.  Six 3 round bouts comprized the stage show, and then dancing until 1 A.M.  Bill Schaefer M. C. Father Scanlon spoke.

13.  Monday: Norm Brown and Bob Kniss are in today.  Worked 8 hours today.  Tonite to the Mode to see The Time – The Place –and The Girl starring Jack Carson –Dennis Morgan.
14.  Tuesday: To Kiwanis luncheon Joe Kitz – Joe Rodler – Bob Kriz – Bill Kemnitz – Max Korn – Harry Hannisch and myself comprize a table.  Temperature is 86° today.
15.  Wednesday: Dr. Norman Kleinschmidt pulls a perfectly good molar of mine to make room for a partial plate.  Tonite we play cards at Eddie Weisheipl’s – 311 Algoma St., and we see his baby.  Took Aunt Mary along, with Ed and Thres Fretschl.  Donald and Mary Ann also are there for a short visit.  Temperature is 89° today.
16.  Thursday: [T] We get a new electric kitchen range this morning from the Boston Store.  Radke and DeVoe install it
17.  Friday: To Poklasny’s to view the remains of Anita Holzbauer.  Father Bunkleman prayed the Rosary.

19.  Sunday: To 730 High Mass St. Vincents then to work.  Left at 12.24 for Mt. Calvary with Thres and Mary Ann.  The Wm Wagners – Wm Essers and Leo Nesbitts are there for the meal.  Had a pleasant visit with Father Gerald “Rector” and Father Lawrence.  Met a student by the name of “Schram” from Fond du Lac and Bauer from ___.  Mary Ann won a box of candy.  I won nothing.  Had quite a walk down the hill to the swimming pool and back up.  Home at 6 P.M.  I work and Thres is at the card party at St. Vincents.

20.  Monday: Attended Banquet at the Athearn.  It is the “Silver Jubilee” of the Oshkosh Apostolate.  Bishop Bona – Father Head – Fathers Scanlon – and Spaulding spoke.  Ed J. Dempsey did quite a talk on the beginning of the Apostolate.  Father Quigley of Poygan and Mr. Leo also of Poygan are at our table.  Corrine Drexler is also at our table.  Today is our birthday, she is 17 and intends to be a nurse.
21.  Tuesday: Thres and myself attend perpetual help devotion at St. Vincents.
22.  Wednesday: Visited with the Bill Mauritz family tonight.  Ray and Ann Mauritz – Joe and Emma Baier are in on the party.  It was a pleasantly spent evening.
23.  Thursday: Visited with Monsignor Bastian this evening.  Josephine and Madeline treat me very generously.  Mellow Bourbon – Wine – and some 61 year old Kirsch Wasser made by the Monsignor’s father as many years ago.  Father Leo Ott also joined us.
Requiems: Stanislaus Jarosch –Katherine Holzbauer – Matt and Caroline Baier.  M. O.s Pancratius – Mary – Joseph – Frank –Theodore – John Drexler, Anton Anton Jr. – Anita Holzbauer.
24.  Friday: [T] This is Aunt Mary’s birthday.  She has completed 74 years.  Cards come in from Milwaukee Berlin and Oshkosh.  It is a quiet birthday.
25.  Saturday: This is the last day at our store for Elsie Meixner.  She gave Art Mueller notice about two weeks ago.  This morning she sounded to me as tho she were sorry.  I worked eleven hours today.  Tonite Joe – Annie Weisheipl – Ed – Thres Fretchel – Emma Siewert are here to celebrate Aunt Mary’s birthday, and they really have a good time.  Aunt Mary is very happy, took them home at 130 A.M.  Mailed package to Thea Rothbauer Oberpfalz Bayern Parsberg, with Bed Spread – Sheets – Towels – Blanket – Pillow Cases – Blouse.
26.  Sunday: To 730 Mass St. Vincents, Father Alphonse Wagner offers the Mass, then to work.  Took a trip to the cemetery this afternoon, it surely looks like fall out there altho the geraniums on the graves are still doing very well.
27.  Monday: Bob Caldwell, manager of the Fahrwald Farms is 46 today.  Helen Kierzch Zentner begins work at the south store today.  Expects to help us out until Jan. 1st.
28.  Tuesday: Thres and self view the remains of Mrs. Dutcher at Konrad funeral home.  Attended Kiwanis luncheon Bob Lund conducted the program.
29.  Wednesday: Joe and Annie Weisheipl are married 41 years today.  I sent them 1/5th 6 year old “Old Charter” and 1 pound Oaks fresh Choc. Creams.  Worked 12 hours today.

31.  Friday: Melvin Jansen becomes a papa tonite.
