1948: "Mailed a package to the Rothbauers in Germany, clothes, Crisco and milk. Had a letter from Agnes Kujawa at Berlin; she still has the itch. Had a rather interesting experience this morning, watched the Photostat machine at the Courthouse turn out photostat copies of records such as birth, death, etc. Notice Joe Baier's Plymouth has quite a nick in the left rear fender." [from A. E. Potter's diaries]
1955: "Mailed a package to Resi Rothbauer this morning, dresses, coat, slacks. Donald (son) has a telephone at his new address as of today. The number B465. Had a call from Debbie and Donnie (grandchildren) this evening. Cork Weisheipl's vacation is cut short; he leaves at midnight tonite for Greensborough, _____ Carolina. Stopped in with Mary Ann (daughter) to wish him "Good Luck." Took an evening off and listened to T.V. for 5 hours, that's too much." [from A. E. Potter's diaries]
