January 17

"Lawrence Kinateder is here to spend the evening.  We can not keep him company as Thres has a meeting at Rose Binder's and I'm working.  But after work we do get a big kick out of Aunt Mary.  Lawrence stays until 12:30 and after that Donald (son) gets something off his chest.  He wishes to buy an engagement ring for Arlene." [from A. E. Potter's diaries]
"We get a surprise today.  We become grandpa and grandma.  A 7 pound 11 oz baby girl is born to Arlene and Donald." [from A. E. Potter's diaries]
"This is Debbie Potter's first birthday celebration.  She is dressed very cute by her mother.  The Felkers John and Lucille, Don Kriesl [note: Kiesow?], Jack and Bernice Zuehlke and boys Ronnie and Terry, Diane, Billy Mauritz.  Debbie helps open presents.  Party breaks up 11:30 to bed at 1 A.M." [from A. E. Potter's diaries]
"Today is Debbie's birthday, she is 3 years old and I would say pretty smart for her age..." [from A. E. Potter's diaries]  [Blogger's note: Debbie, you owe me for putting in this last entry...Happy Birthday, Sis!]
