June 12

1935: "Out to the cottage today. Took Ed Fretchel, Mrs. and Carl, also Anna Weisheipl, Matt Weisheipl to give the place a good cleaning. Joe, Cork, and Ed Weisheipl also come out, to fish. Perch are biting but not very ambitious to bait. The afternoon is very hot. St. Peter's Church Steeple, the tallest steeple in Oshkosh and vicinity for many years is being razed." [from A. E. Potter's diaries]
1947: "Did more cleaning up in Lyman's garage. Had Ed Fretchel along. Mary Ann attends C.Y.O. party at St. Vincent's. Father Alphonse Wagner is in charge. Thres and Aunt Mary spend the afternoon with Betty (Mrs. Frank) Drexler and Frank's mother Anna and of course the baby. They had not seen the little newcomer." [from A. E. Potter's diaries]
