June 23

1934: "Had a mission to perform today which I did not like very well. Had to inform Ed Plashko and Bernard Peterson of an indefinite leave July 1st. It really hurt me to do it, but it just couldn't be helped. Dick Dorman had an accident last night . Bumped his head on a glass door in the dark and cut his nose quite badly. Dr. Ebert had to sew it for him." [from A. E. Potter's diaries]
1942: "Thres had company at the cottage today. Part of the ladies auxiliary of the South Side Business Men's Club spend the day with her." [from A. E. Potter's diaries]
1952: "Rain most of the day today. Received a letter from Parsberg. Ma and Emma Siewert go shopping this afternoon. Ma gets a new dress & shoes. Mary Ann dresses on approval from Hilda's. Emma stays with Thres after shopping. I took the folks out for sinner, but it took a long time to find a place to serve us. Otto's Hi K, Armin Ostertag, Schwartz at Omro all closed, ended up at Ray Robbins for a fine meal. The waitress gives me 10 dollars too much change, but I returned it to her. Had an hour's visit with Uncle Joe Heip this aft." [from A. E. Potter's diaries]
