1933: "Ann Baier's birthday; she is 26. Had quite a severe storm yesterday afternoon. It was mostly wind and did much damage in the vicinity of Marshfield. One woman, Mrs. H. Blumquist, 73, died from injuries in the Marshfield hospital. She was hurled against a foundation wall of a barn on her farm." [from A. E. Potter's diaries]

1949: "Mary Ann graduates today. Exercises at South Park Junior Hi. A class of 356, 351 are present. They present a fine program. Took her out to Otto's Hi K for a feed after the exercises. We are home at 12:30. Tow of the girls working at the South Side Store also graduate, Lois Zernzack and Beverly Kentop." [from A. E.
