1947: "Presented Father Scanlon with life insurance policies for the Apostolate. Received a letter written in English from Alice Rothbauer in Parsberg Bayern. It is fairly good English. The folks are back in town from the cottage. Had a bad electrical storm during the night. No electricity from 3 A.M. to 5 P.M. Temperature is 86° today.[from A. E. Potter's diaries]
1953: "Today ushers in our Centennial Celebration with a mammoth parade lasting several hours. Had about 90 floats and 19 bands. Some of the floats were exceptionally pretty." [from A. E. Potter's diaries]
1955: "Bob Heinen is here for Yahr Lange today. Mary Ann and me took a drive to Neenah tonite to see Norm Brown, we learned from Susie the folks are at the cottage so we drive to Berlin to see Harry and Agnes and find them gone too.
