02. Friday:
First time on chair tonight since Christmas Night.
03. Saturday:
It is a rainy Saturday but business is fairly good.
04. Sunday:
Attended 730 Mass the first time this year and sang with the
Mixed Choir. It turns out to be a
beautiful warm day. Took a drive to Neenah
after dinner, Thres over to Anna Drexler’s but she’s not at home, so we took
Leona and Aunt Mary for ride, and where did we land? In the mud on the Kujawa Farm out of
Berlin. And they were surprised! and Harry and Agnes were out for a walk on
the river. Well and Agnes surely was
glad to see us and so were all the rest.
Should have staid for supper, but I had to get back to work. St. Mary’s Keno party at night. No Luck.
05. Monday:
Took a drive to Fond du Lac tonite after work.
Executive committee met at the Retlaw.
Ed Worm, John Remington, Otto Berndt, Ralph Clark Jennings Murphy, Ed Kraemer. Joe Heip and Anna were along. Anna likes the “Old Fashioned and double
quote pretty well. Dropped in to see Joe
Kollross on the way home. Yesterday was
the first anniversary of President Roosevelt as head of the nation and much has
been accomplished toward recovery.
06. Tuesday:
Well, the wives had a visit at the hospital with Frank Weisheipl’s better half. She is feeling much improved and will be
going home soon. They also visited Joe
Fenzl. He is somewhat better. His neck has been lanced and he should
improve steadily from now on.

Frances Lamb begins work on our income tax report.

11. Sunday: 730
Mass at St. Vincent’s Knights of Columbus and Holy Name receive Communion. Work balance of morning and all afternoon. Harry and Agnes Kujawa are here for supper. Ed and Thres Fretchel, later in the evening. Carrom and Three handed sheephead were the diversion. The Fretchels left after 1 A.M.

It’s a busy day.
13. Tuesday:
Took a drive to Milwaukee today with Thres and Ann Heip. Is just like spring up this morning will we
get to Milwaukee we have rain and snow and also a stormy session at the Drug
Service Bureau. Started for home at 6 P
M had a nice meal at Miller’s in Menominee Falls.

Joe Tod has an increase in the family this morning. It’s a girl.

St. Patrick’s Day Hollywood Tavern 299 Harrison St. operated by George Thoma,
was completely destroyed by fire early this morning with the loss of 8000
dollars.
18. Sunday: Attended 730 Mass this morning. Father Coughlin is unable to make his usual
Sunday afternoon Radio broadcast, due to an attack of acute indigestion.
19. Monday: I year Mr. Mueller is back from “Sunny
Florida,” tonite.
20. Tuesday: Took a drive to Milwaukee today with Ann
Heip and Thres. Had Dinner at Mueller’s
at Menomonee, then on to “The Druggist Service Bureau.” John Patterson is a
busy man these days. Then on to
Milwaukee Drug Company, visited with George Moehle and Jack Schneider then back
to Drug Service and back to town. Had
supper at Mader’s on Third Street then over to the Riverside Theatre. Left for home about 12 oclock and nearly fell
asleep on the way.
21. Wednesday: Busy as usual today.
22. Thursday: Our first monthly meeting of the
Winnebago County Pharmaceutical Association at the Athearn Hotel. Five men are here from Neenah Menasha, Barnett,
Mace, Leffingwell, Stilp Stearus and Shelp move were also here. Margaret Drexler is 26 today and John Drexler
her uncle is 59.
23. Friday: Paid my taxes this morning and it cost me 2% penalty
for not paying it by March 1st. Took Karl Binder's wife, Joe Hemmer, and Joe
Baier out to Sunnyview to visit Karl. He is a little hoarse and gets a 3
weeks period of silence. Joe and Joe stop in at our house for 60 hands of
sheephead,

Had a job this morning which is or has been almost foreign to me in late years. Was Sponsor for Joe Tod’s Baby Girl, named
Marie Ardine.

I’m a sick lady this morning, don’t know just what it is, it might be a cold or
it might be some stomach ailment.
29. Thursday:
I’m a sick a lady still, and its not any too pleasant looking outside either. Our Nyal Sale begins today and if the weather
keeps on being bad it will be of grand flop.
30. Friday:
This is Good Friday and we are in the midst of one of the nicest blizzards. They tell me even the church service suffered,
there been lots of room at St. Vincent’s.
I’m still on the sick list, but a little stronger than yesterday.
31. Saturday:
It is still snowing in raining at times.
Took Joe Hemmer to Mercy Hospital tonite to see Andrew Ruedinger’s wife
(Madelain) Hemmer. She is very low. Monsignor Rice administers Extreme Unction.
