1935: "Three armed men held up the W. T. Grant Store this morning about 8:20 just about the time the store was opened for business. They got away with about 1300 dollars. Father Coughlin makes a stirring reply to General Hugh Johnson, former N.R.A. Administrator, over the radio. Ray Grady services this afternoon at the Konrad funeral home. 1951: "We have padded kneelers at St. Vincent's. We use them for the first time today. K.C.'s have their annual Easter Communion and breakfast at Sacred Heart today. We have 352 members present. I also attend stations at St. Vincent's this afternoon.Our annual report is also out at St. Vincent's. Back to work tonite working in the post office. Our report was heavy over 5200 dollars."
