1947: "Joe Baier is back on the job this morning. I complete our figures for inventory this evening. Attended St. Vincent's tonite with Thres (wife) and Mary Ann (daughter). Rose Weisheipl is back on the job this morning. Sisters Irene and Phillipa from Mercy Hospital are over about some candles for priests in Germany." [from A. E. Potter's diaries]
1955: "To St. Vincent's at 7 A.M. Mary Ann (daughter) goes to work in spite of not feeling too well. It's rather cold, damp, and cloudy today. Took Thres and Mary Ann to Columbus Club for shrimp and lobster tail. Met George & Lavine Haverty, Clarence & Florence Westphal, Anna Ostertag, George and Mrs. Procknow, Dan & Mrs. Hildebrand. Learned that Ann Ostertag had a hemorrhage last Saturday, lost considerable blood. So we take a drive tonite to see Ray and family. Ann is sitting up looking quite pale, must have X Rays taken. Home at 10:30." [from A. E. Potter's diaries]
