1936: "Took the family and Anna Drexler and her girls Margaret and Leona to Berlin to visit her daughter Agnes and the new baby boy 'Jackie' Kujawa. Spent a pleasant afternoon and part evening there. Dropped in to see Fred Margaret at the Drug Store. Harry showed me the homes of some of the well-to-do in Berlin. Menasha High School is destroyed by fire early this morning. Loss about $300,000."
