March 26

1941: "Attended 'All Star' 'Harlem Globetrotters' basketball game. The 'All Stars' lose 41-38. The [Globetrotters] are sure a team of fast players. Donald (son) got the autograph of all the 'Globetrotters.' We wound up at Harold Bouchelle's." [from A. E. Potter's diaries]
1946: "Our stores close at noon in memory of Mr. Mueller. It turns out a lovely day. The funeral is very largely attended. The remains are laid to rest in a beautiful plot in the newer section of Riverside Cemetery. Pallbearers: Harold, Art, Norbert, Fred Baumgartner, Joe Baier, and myself. After the funeral we stop at the Mueller home for a get together with the relatives. Home at 6 P.M. To Perpetual Help and Stations at St. Vincent's tonite. Aunt Lena comes home with us."[from A. E. Potter's diaries]
1953: "Pete Beck brings over a new Pontiac for me to drive while my DeSoto is being repaired. Little Donnie (grandson) gets his first haircut today.
