1943: "Anna Drexler's house is sold today by Elsie Broche. Anna says she could laugh and cry as fond memories come to her. Delivered to her a gallon of Mineral Oil which I think will be the last while she is in Oshkosh. Intends to move to Milwaukee with Margaret and I suppose part time with Leona. This may not be the first day of spring on the calendar, but in reality it is. Temperature is up to 76° and a nice warm breeze a blowing. I have a lovely disfigured face today, puffed eyes, swollen cheeks, do not know the cause. Did not get to Kiwanis luncheon." [from A. E. Potter's diaries]
1957: "Harold Van Groll called me this evening in regard to helping him with the drive for funds for the new Catholic High School. I learned from him that he has two brothers in the Capuchin Order. Father Andrew who has preached at St. Vincent's Forty Hours and Father Pierre." [from A. E. Potter's diaries]
