May 26

1933: "Harold Mueller's birthday; he is 37 and the boys help him celebrate. Took some of the pupils and Sister Ambrosia to Green Bay this afternoon. Loretta Kempinger, Connie Heinzl, Agnew Schroeder and Catherine Ackerman are the graduates in my car." [from A. E. Potter's diaries]
1941: "St. Vincent's Congregation is trying the envelope system to raise funds. We receive ours today. Leona Drexler is back home and stays with us over night. I have her share Mary Ann's bed." [from A. E. Potter's diaries]
1945: "W.T. Grant Store, managed by Earl Smith is the scene of a drastic fire which kept firemen busy all day. The stock is a total loss and the building is badly wrecked. Harry & Agnes Kujawa and the children are here for supper. We took them down to see the Grant Store and while we were there a hold up took place at Oaks Candy Store. The robber gets 460 dollars. Talk about excitement in town today." [from A. E. Potter's diaries]
