Diary of Alfred E. Potter December, 1935

01.  Sunday: Attended six oclock mass this morning.  Then work the rest of the day.

05.  Thursday: Drove to Milwaukee this morning with Joe and Anna Weisheipl and Joe Jr. Had lunch at Menominee Falls.  The folks are down to visit Cork who is playing at the Riverside Theatre with Stan Meyers Band.  I had business at the Drug Service, The Mutual and also had a nice visit with A. C. Grace of McClurg.  Saw the show in the evening and visited with Cork. Left Milwaukee about 1 A.M. and run into a sleet storm.  Landed in Slinger at 2.30 A.M.  Stayed there over night.
06.  Friday: Driving is better this morning.  Arrived home at 11 A.M.  Took a good nap before going to work.

11.  Wednesday: Ann Baier drops in at the store.  Hadn’t seen her since she left.  Mary Ann spends the afternoon at the Baier home.

13.  Friday: Friday the 13th is not so unlucky.
14.  Saturday: We’re expecting holiday business bowl we are somewhat disappointed today.
15.  Sunday: A beautiful coat of snow on the ground this morning.  Attended 6 A.M. Mass then to work.  Had a couple of hours to clean up a bit around the house during the afternoon.

19.  Thursday: Mailed most of our Christmas Cards today.
20.  Friday: It is 10° below zero tonite.  We are very busy in the Postal Department.
