Diary of Alfred E. Potter October, 1936

01.  Thursday: Aloys Metzen leaves for Milwaukee this morning.  He is to take a course in electric welding.

10.  Saturday: A with Joe and Anna Heip tonite to Harold Bouchelle’s.
11.  Sunday: Out early this morning.  Attend six Oclock Mass for a change.  Then on the job for most of the day.
12.  Monday: Clerks Meeting at our North Store tonite.  Norman brown is in with us to put on A Pursang –Calon –Soretone –Monatone Drive.

14.  Wednesday: Our Fall One Cent Sale Begins today.

22.  Thursday: We begin a sheephead tournament at Bill Mauritz's house. This is the old Tuesday night sheephead club that used to come to our house for years.

24.  Saturday: Mary Drexler has a birthday.  She is 63 and feeling 36.  Mary you know is Mama Potter’s Sister.
25.  Sunday: Attended six Oclock mass this morning.  Then to work for the morning.  In the afternoon visited Anna Drexler, Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Paulick Sr., Also John Drexler family and Tilly Drexler.  Worked in the evening.

28.  Wednesday: We drive to Milwaukee today with Mr. and Mrs. F.W. Mueller.  Attended the Drug Show and Banquet at the Schroeder Hotel.  After the banquet we took a walk and when we came back, played 500 rummy until 2.30 A.M.
29.  Thursday: Visited at Milwaukee Drug Company and Yahr Lange Incorporated.  Had lunch with Fred Yahr, at the Drug Company.  Drove back home this afternoon.

31.  Saturday: Bob and Rose Gittings, Little Teddy, Mr. and Mrs. Gittings motor to Oshkosh from Chicago.  The come in at 2 P.M.
